Instructions for Authors

The New Zealand Veterinary Journal publishes general scientific articles, reviews, state-of-the-art commentaries, rapid communications, clinical communications, short communications, and correspondence covering all aspects of veterinary science, animal welfare, and animal health aspects of animal science. All scientific papers submitted for publication are independently refereed, regardless of source. The median Receipt-to-Acceptance interval for papers submitted in the last 18 months currently stands at 154 days (5 months), and the median Receipt-to-Publication interval at 235 days (7.7 months; December 2009 figures).

Manuscript Release Form
All submissions must be accompanied by a Manuscript Release Form signed by all authors. By signing this form, each author agrees that he or she has had the opportunity to read and comment on the manuscript, and that he or she agrees to the submission of the manuscript in its present form to the New Zealand Veterinary Journal.
