Few veterinary journals in the world are able to offer subscribers such a complete resource! Single-site, Multi-site and Personal subscriptions are offered. Online access is available via www.ingentaconnect.com and www.sciquest.org.nz, offering a full range of services to individual and institutional subscribers. Printed copies of issues published in the calender year of subscription may be purchased by subscribers for a small increase in price to cover costs of printing and delivery. In addition to online access, subscribers can also purchase an annual license to a PC version of the complete archive of the New Zealand Veterinary Journal supplied on CD-Rom, designed to be uploaded onto computer hard drives and networks for offline use. This version utilises custom developed software that offers fast and flexible searching of titles and full text for the occurrence of words or combinations of words, and indexes of author, volume, year, article type, animal type and subject and allows users to retrieve the full text of any article immediately. The PC version can be updated as each issue of the Journal is published using Live Updates or with an annual CD-Rom release, and is only available for purchase by subscribers of the Journal and members of the NZVA. The New Zealand Veterinary Journal has nearly 2000 subscribers comprising veterinarians, researchers, academics, government and pharmaceutical industry representatives, and private consultants in more than 44 countries around the world. The Journal is published six times per year, in February, April, June, August, October and December.
As a substantial new benefit of membership of the NZVA, electronic access to the complete archives of the New Zealand Veterinary Journal, and the NZVA Special Interest Branch (SIB) proceedings and VetLearn seminars on SciQuest in both CDROM-based and ONLINE formats is available to members. Access to these archives installed from CDROM expires annually at the end of March. Ongoing access is keyed to renewal of NZVA membership or subscription and requires license reactivation. If a license is not reactivated the programme will stop working. To reactivate
your license: If you have any questions or are unsure about what to do when the renewal message pops up, please don‘t hesitate to ring the SciQuest Helpline on 06 350 5229. Single-user licenses to the NZVJ and SIB/VetLearn archives are available on request to every member of the NZVA. A small charge to cover the costs of CD production and mailing applies to members wanting individual (as distinct from practice) copies. Multi-user licenses to the NZVJ and SIB/VetLearn archives are available for no additional charge to veterinary practices and businesses on the condition that all full-time equivalent veterinary staff employed are members of the NZVA. Multi-user licenses offer considerable savings to businesses in terms of time and administration required to install and maintain the archives and updates. Contact nzvj@sciquest.org.nz or phone the Editorial Office for more information.
