Papers are published online and citable (with a DOI) as the Accepted Author Version within 3 weeks of acceptance. The median interval from Receipt-to-Publication in print is 265 days (8.5 months).
You'll find the following documents useful when preparing your paper:
- Instructions for authors
- Checklist for submissions
- Manuscript Release Form. This must be signed by all the authors to ascertain that each author agrees that he or she has had the opportunity to read and comment on the manuscript, and that he or she agrees to the submission of the manuscript in its present form to the NZVJ.
All submissions must include a reference list compiled in the NZVJ format according to our reference list template.
The submission process for authors has recently been simplified so that all manuscripts can be submitted electronically, with no requirement for paper copies. Manuscripts can be submitted electronically to the Editor at nzvj [at] vets [dot] org [dot] nz.
